Inaki Williams has disclosed that his 90-year-old grandfather promised he would die in peace the day he saw him wearing the Black Stars jersey and playing for Ghana.
The Athletic Bilbao forward decided to play for Ghana in June after switching allegiance from Spain, having made one senior cap for the European country.
Inaki made his Ghana debut in the friendly against Brazil before following that up with another appearance against Nicaragua.
"My grandfather told me that he could die in peace when he saw me in the Ghana national team shirt,” he told Movistar Futbol as quoted by Pulse.

Former Spain international is proud to make the changes in national teams and looks forward to playing a major role in Ghana's success.
"It was not easy to make the decision because at that moment the doors were open, who knows if at some point, to play with Spain. But everything changed when I went to Ghana and visited my grandparents," added Inaki Williams in an interview with AS.
"My 90-year-old grandfather told me that it would be a dream for him to see me for the Ghana national team. That cleared up any doubts. Fulfilling that for my grandfather decided it, I have made my whole family very happy and I represent what is in my blood."
Ianki Williams is expected to make Ghana coach Otto Addo's team for the World Cup in Qatar in November.

Williams brothers reunite after the international break
Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Inaki Williams and his brother, Nico, have reunited at Athletic Bilbao after the end of a historic international break for the family.
The eldest of the Williams brothers, Inaki, made his Ghana debut after switching nationalities while Nico played a role in Spain's UEFA Nations League games.
In a heartwarming video posted on social media, the duo were spotted together as they returned to club duties.
