The captain of the Super Eagles of Nigeria, Ahmed Musa, will not be part of the squad that will face Algeria in an international friendly on September 27.
Musa, who recently joined Turkish club Sivasspor, suffered an injury to his left arm during their 2-1 loss to Ankaragucu in a Turkish Super Lig clash at the weekend.
He was replaced as early as the 19th minute of the encounter as the manager of the side brought on Cameroon winger Clinton N’Jie, who scored Sivasspor’s goal of the game.
And providing details on Musa’s injury status, the club disclosed that a scan revealed he had fractured his left arm and will be on the sidelines for some time.

The statement reads:
“Health report on Ahmed Musa. In the match of the 7th week of the Spor Toto Super Lig against Ankaragücü, our player was injured in the 19th minute.
“Ahmed Musa was checked and was found to have a fracture in his left arm. The treatment process of our player has started immediately.”
The captain who was supposed to lead Coach Jose Peseiro’s 25-man Eagles to Oran; becomes the third Super Eagles player to be ruled out of the game alongside Henry Onyekuru and Leon Balogun, who were also on the list.
