Negotiations are already at an advanced stage for Pjanic to leave Barcelona on a free transfer and the deal will please the Catalans as it will free up some space on their wage bill.

Barcelona are hoping to reduce their wage bill to the barest minimum after letting go top stars including Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang during the summer transfer window.

Barcelona reach four-year contract extension agreement with Gavi

Meanwhile, Barcelona has reached an agreement to extend the contract of Spanish teenage sensation, Gavi for another 4 years at the Camp Nou, Barca Universal reports.

With this agreement, the Catalan giants will bind the young Spanish player to a contract that won't end until the summer of 2026.

This season, the 18-year-old has already established himself as a vital member of the Barcelona midfield, with head coach Xavi Hernandez favoring him as Pedri's ideal partner in the inside midfield positions.
