While Erik ten Hag's decision to bench Ronaldo was widely criticised, the Dutchman was later hailed as a genius after United secured a huge 3-1 win over their arch-rivals.

However, the home side conceded just moments after the five-time Ballon d'Or winner had been introduced, with Saka scoring to level matters.
But rather than resigning to fate after the equaliser, Ronaldo was seen psyching up his teammates and encouraging them to rally back.
The stunning moment was caught on camera, with a video from the incident going viral on social media.
In the video, a number of United players looked deflated before the Portuguese talisman chipped in to boost their morale.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Cristiano Ronaldo could not help himself but get up and applaud Antony after the Man United summer recruit found the back of the net against Arsenal.
Antony was handed his United debut on Sunday, September 4, as the Red Devils hosted in-form Arsenal at Old Trafford.
Immediately Antony scored, the cameras panned to Ronaldo, who, at this time, had risen from his seat in celebration.
