The game had been marked by intense emotions, with Besiktas winning 3-2. New signing Delle Alli scored his first goal for his new side. The referee sent off Ankaragucu' Marlon in the game's dying minutes, sparking a fresh round of confrontations between the players.
The fan then saw a perfect opportunity to engage in the scuffle with his kick landing squarely on Weghorst. Former Everton striker Cenk Tosun and Salih Ucan were also the recipients of the fans' wrath.
Josef De Souza of Besiktas reacted by throwing the fan to the ground. He was also sent off by the referee after the final whistle, as Sport Bible reports.
Besiktas vice-president Engin Baltaci was furious at Josef's sending off and promised to appeal the decision.
Following their victory, Besiktas maintained their position on top of the standings with 13 points after five rounds.
Man drops child just to hug Everton star, Anthony Gordon
Sports Brief had earlier reported that unverified footage from Everton's game against Leeds United has left some fans in shock after a man appeared to drop his child just to embrace Anthony Gordon.
Dortmund earn hard-fought victory at Hertha Berlin to return to winning ways
FootballGordon was in action for Everton at the Elland Road on August 30th 2022, where he put the Toffees ahead in the 17th minute. He received a defence-splitting pass from Alex Iwobi before nutmegging goalkeeper Illan Meslier.
In the video spotted by Sports Brief, Gordon is seen approaching a fan who is clearly elated to see him. The man is holding a child donned in a blue hoodie. Gordon talks his way past the steward and as he approaches the man, he appears to let go of the child who falls down. Rather surprisingly, the man doesn't immediately follow up to see if the child is okay.
