As reported by Get Spanish Football News, the win was Ancelotti’s 133rd of his time in charge of Los Blancos, taking him level with Vicente del Bosque. The duo are the third most successful coaches in the club's history. Only Zinedine Zidane and Miguel Muñoz are ahead of the Ancelotti and del Bosque.

Zidane was in charge of Madrid for 263 games and won 174 of those. He only lost 36 games while in charge of Los Blancos, Transfermarkt reported.

Muñoz achieved 357 wins with the La Liga side and won nine La Liga titles, two Spanish Cup trophies, two European Cup titles and one Intercontinental Cup with the team.
