Real Madrid defeated Celta Vigo 4-1 on Saturday night to maintain their winning run in the ongoing La Liga season.

Goals from Karim Benzema, Luka Modric, Vinicius Junior and Fede Valverde were enough to hand Carlo Ancelotti's men a well-deserved victory in Galicia.

The game also Ancelotti's 178th one at the helm of the Spanish giants since his first tenure with the club in 2013.

The Italian manager, who is now tied with Jose Mourinho, is the coach with the sixth-most games managed in Real Madrid's history.

Only Luis Molowny (183), Leo Beenhakker (197), Vicente Del Bosque (245), Zinedine Zidane (263), and Miguel Munoz (605) have more managed more games.

During these 178 games, Ancelotti's Madrid recorded 131 wins, 22 draws and 25 defeats. The Merengues scored 449 goals and conceded 155.

Having won eight trophies, Carletto ranks third among the club coaches, with only Zidane (11) and Munoz (14) ahead.

In 2014 Real beat Sevilla to give him his third title, and then his fourth came with the victory over Eintracht in Helsinki. Ancelotti also won the Super Cup as a player when he was with Milan in 1990.
