  • Harry Kane hit a unique landmark on Saturday, August 20 after scoring against Wolverhampton Wanderers
  • The England international now has the most goals for a single club in Premier League history
  • He overtakes Sergio Aguero and Wayne Rooney to sit top of the elite list

Tottenham star Harry Kane has cemented himself as a legend of the club and the Premier League as he became the highest scoring player for a single club in the league’s history.

Going into the game against Wolves on Saturday, Kane was level with Sergio Aguero with 184 Premier League goals for a single club.

It almost looked like it was going to be one of those days for Tottenham, who had a fairly quiet first half.

Kane’s only attempt on goal, a looping header that was expertly saved by Jose Sa, almost gave his side the lead, but the two teams went into the break deadlocked at 0-0.

The England captain would eventually have his say, as he found the net via a header which was incidentally Tottenham’s 1000th goal at home in the Premier League.

It was also his 250th goal for Spurs overall and his 185th Premier League goal - the most a player has scored for one team in the competition.

Kane was neck to neck with Sergio Aguero, who managed to score 184 goals for Manchester City in a decade before briefly moving to Barcelona.

The top five players with the most Premier League goals for a single club also has the likes of Wayne Rooney (183), Thierry Henry (175) and Alan Shearer (148).
