La Liga champions Real Madrid will travel to Galicia to face Celta Vigo as they seek to successive wins at the start of their 2022-23 season.

The Spanish giants notched a 2-1 victory over newly-promoted Almeria last weekend, while Celta drew 2-2 at home to Espanyol.

The Los Blancos have won each of their last four La Liga games with Celta Vigo, while they are unbeaten against the Vigo-based club in Spain's top flight since May 2014.

However, Real Madrid will head into the match without Brazil international Casemiro, who is expected to complete his switch to Manchester United.

There are no injury concerns for Celta Vigo. Head coach Eduardo Coudet could have a full squad to choose from, which was also the case on the opening weekend of the season.

Carlo Ancelotti is expected to make changes, especially in defense, from the side that faced Almeria last weekend.

Both Dani Carvajal and Rodrygo have been ruled out due to injury but Luka Modric, David Alaba and Eder Militao are expected to start.

Aurelin Tchouameni is expected to fill the gap left by Casemiro who is joining Manchester United, while Federico Valverde is expected to play at the right hand side of attack.

Karim Benzema will spearhead the attack with support from Vinicius Junior. Eden Hazard will likely start from the bench.
