Manchester United's team captain

Since 17 January 2020, Harry Maguire has been the club's captain. He took over from Ashley Young, who moved to Inter Milan. He has been at Old Trafford for only nine months at the time. The vice-captain is Bruno Fernandes.

Manchester United's coach

Former Red Devils coach, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, left on 20 November 2021 after four seasons without his team winning a trophy. Michael Carrick coached the next three games, and Ralf Rangnick was appointed interim manager for the season. Erik ten Hag was signed on 21 April 2022, for three years, till June 2025.

Manchester United's transfer rumours

Several players are rumoured to be signed by Old Trafford before the summer window closes on 1 September. Some include:

  • Ajax winger Antony Matheus dos Santos.
  • Atletico Madrid's forward, Yannick Carrasco, should they fail to acquire Antony.
  • PSV's Cody Gakpo, who is also linked to Arsenal and Leeds.
  • Brighton's Moises Caicedo.
  • Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic (on loan).
  • Eintracht Frankfurt goalkeeper Kevin Trapp
  • Marseille defender Eric Bailly.

Old Trafford became the home ground of Manchester United in February 1909. It is the largest club football stadium (second-largest overall after Wembley Stadium) in the United Kingdom and the eleventh-largest in Europe. It has a total capacity of 74,310.

They have three sets of kits, all sponsored by Adidas. The home kit is dark red with a white Adidas logo and three black stripes. The away kit is white, with three red and black stripes and the Adidas logo. The third kit has a hi-vis yellow base colour with dark blue applications and logos.
