Barcelona could be in for another scandal following the club’s recent bid to generate more funds to register the club’s new players which had made them activate some economic levers.

It is claimed that Logskley Investments S.L. which is a company formed by Sixth Street and Barcelona with each possessing a 50% stake, provided the difference in the transaction.

Barcelona then loaned €150m of their own money to Logskley Investments, who in turn paid that back to Barcelona as part of the TV rights deal, thus falsely inflating the value of the deal.

Barcelona forward booed during pre-game presentation

Meanwhile, Barcelona forward, Martin Braithwaite was booed by the club supporters when the Catalan giants presented their entire squad for the 2022/23 season at Camp Nou Barca Universal reports.

The Denmark forward has been declared surplus to requirement at Barcelona and has been told to leave the club by the management which Braithwaite has vehemently refused for one reason.

The 31-year-old has been pushing Barcelona to terminate his contract which still has two years left as he wants to leave the club as a free agent this summer.

Barcelona remains confident about registering new players

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Barcelona are yet to register their new summer signings after struggling to meet up with La Liga’s financial regulations for the 2022/23 season.

The Catalan giants have brought in Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha, Jules Kounde, Andreas Christensen, and Frank Kessie this summer but are facing a tough task to register all players.

Barcelona board remains quite confident about registering all the new players ahead of their La Liga opener against Rayo Vallecano next weekend.
