Ghana will play European country Switzerland in a pre-World Cup friendly in November in Doha.

The four times African champions will test their strength against the Euro 2020 quarter-finalist on November 17th at the Baniyas Club Stadium.

The Ghana Football Association confirmed the international friendly on their official website.

"The Black Stars of Ghana will for the first time in history play against Switzerland in an International friendly before their opening match at the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 tournament," wrote the FA.

"The game will take place on Thursday, November 17, 2022, at the Baniyas Club Stadium in Abu Dhabi - United Arab Emirates.
"The match will give Coach Otto Addo a perfect opponent for the Group H opener against Portugal at the 974 stadium."

The Black Stars have been drawn in Group H oat the FIFA World Cup alongside European giants Portugal, South Korea and Uruguay.

Ghana to lodge at the Hilton Hotel in Doha during World Cup

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Ghana will be camping at the plush Double Tree by Hilton Doha-Al Sadd Hotel during the World Cup in Qatar later this year.

The Black Stars qualified to the World Cup after beating Nigeria in a two-legged play-offs game in March this year.

And according to 3 Sports, the team will be in Doha and will use the Aspire Zone training facilities 1 as their training base.
