Nani pleads with Cristiano Ronaldo to stay at Man United

Nani, a former Man United star and Ronaldo's teammate at club and country, has now urged the 37-year-old forward to consider remaining at the Theatre of Dreams.

According to Nani, he has been unsuccessful in trying to reach Ronaldo on the phone to plead with him not to depart this summer.

"I hope (he will stay). He’s an important player and a player who always makes a difference. I hope he’s in a good mood to help the club," Nani, who won 12 trophies with United was quoted as saying.
"I tried to talk to him but when he’s on vacation he doesn’t answer the phone. He said, 'I’m so busy now, we’ll talk soon'," the winger added per Daily Mail.

Buffon names Ronaldo among the greatest teammates he has had

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Gianluigi Buffon has included Cristiano Ronaldo among his top five best footballers he has played with.

The two football legends had a chance to play together after Ronaldo sealed a summer move to Juventus in 2019.

Buffon also named Zlatan Ibrahimovich, Kylian Mbappe, Lilian Thuram, and Neymar among the greatest non-Italian footballers he had the opportunity to share a locker room with.
