According to the reports on Sportbible and GOAL, Jose Fonte explained that the best option for Cristiano Ronaldo is to return to Real Madrid.

Jose Fonte's reaction about Ronaldo's future

''Ronaldo needs to be winning trophies and competing for trophies for the Ballon d’Or. He is a serial winner, as everyone knows.
"He might be looking at the squad and thinking, 'Am I going to be able to win some trophies this year?' Maybe he doesn’t believe it. I don’t know. Only he can say.
"Would he go back to Madrid? That would be, for him, the best option. If they want him back or not, that’s a different question."

Paul Scholes hit out at Manchester United, branding club a circus after Ronaldo’s failure to resume pre-season

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Manchester United icon Paul Scholes is not happy with the club’s chiefs following the reports that Cristiano Ronaldo wants to leave the club this summer.

The 37-year-old was the Red Devils’ top scorer last season after he scored 24 goals in all competitions but Manchester United still had a miserable campaign finishing with their lowest Premier League points tally.

Ronaldo has missed two consecutive days of pre-season training as a result of family issues and Paul Scholes has now lashed out at the club branding them a “circus”.
