Kearyn Baccus has returned home to Australia.

The 30-year-old midfielder will now play for A-League side Macarthur Park, having signed a two-year deal with the Sydney-based team. He was one of several players who were let go by Kaizer Chiefs at the end of last season as the club overhauled its underperforming squad.

According to iDiski Times, Baccus said:

“I’m excited to be here and start a new challenge with this club. “I’m from this area, so I’m looking forward to being back here and getting start with the new coaches and my new teammates. With the new appointment of Dwight to the club, I think it's an exciting time for the club and for us players learn from his experience at such a high level."

Macarthur is coached by legendary former Manchester United striker Dwight Yorke.

Club CEO Sam Krslovic said on its website:

“Kearyn is a talented midfielder who adds value to what we are building here at the club. I believe Kearyn is a representation of the club’s core values and we look forward to having him here at the club as we strive for success.”

Baccus was born in Durban in 1991 in Durban, before moving to Australia at a young age, as per Kick Off.

All those still wondering where former Kaizer Chiefs defender Lorenzo Gordinho can now rest easy knowing he is doing just fine in Denmark.

As reported by Sports Brief, the 28-year-old Gordinho has just signed for Danish first division team HB Køge on an 18-month deal, having left Viborg of the Danish Superliga, the country's premier division. The team he is joining is coached by former Liverpool defender Daniel Agger.

He made just 12 appearances for Viborg last season.
