  • Five men accused of his killing are currently on a highly publicised trial, which has now been postponed until September

Orlando Pirates chairman Irvin Khoza remains troubled that no one has answered for the murder of Bafana Bafana and Buccaneers goalkeeper Senzo Meyiwa.

Meyiwa was shot dead in the house of his then-girlfriend Kelly Khumalo in Vosloorus in November 2014. Five men are currently on trial for the crime, and the matter has been postponed until September.

According to Sunday World:

“I am not at peace. It is quite unfortunate what has happened in terms of what we are consuming on TV and the riddle that is unfolding every time. It is confusing to all of us – to see what it is that we do not know that has taken place to create this kind of confusion, from the Hawks, the witnesses, the neighbours, and people who were in the house, it is just confusing.”

The publication in another story reported that Longwe Twala, the son of legendary music artist Sello "Chicco" Twala was prepared to come forward with crucial information about what transpired that night. Twala junior was one of several other people allegedly in the house on the night Meyiwa died.

Orlando Pirates chairman Irvin Khoza responds harshly to critics of Jose Riveiro's appointment as coach

Orlando Pirates chairman Irvin Khoza had choice words for those who scoffed at the appointment of little-known Spanish coach Jose Riveiro.

As reported by Sports Brief, the 44-year-old Riveiro was unveiled last weekend to howls of criticism, with some sections of the South African football fraternity referring to him as a "plumber", the negative epithet used to describe coaches from overseas who don't have a large footprint in the world.

Leroy Maluka, who once played in Finland where Riveiro was recruited from, encouraged him to shut out the noise and get on with his job.
