  • Former Chelsea striker Diego Costa has confessed that he liked to taunt N’Golo Kante by getting naked and forcing the French star to hug him
  • The two players enjoyed a good relationship despite their two contrasting characters with Costa being a bully while Kante being a quiet footballer
  • Costa further revealed that Kante didn’t even take his underpants off when he headed to the showers after a game

Diego Costa has revealed that he liked to taunt N’Golo Kante during his playing days at Chelsea. Costa played with the humble midfielder for one-and-a-half seasons.

Kante has cut a figure of himself over the years as a humble human being despite the enormous amount of success he has recorded over the years.

Costa, meanwhile, is the complete opposite of the diminutive Frenchman. The Brazilian-born Spanish attacker is a very abrasive and loud character on and off the pitch.

In a Youtube video done by Pilhado, Costa has now admitted that he used to get naked and try and hug Kante just to get a reaction from him. The former Leicester City man would flatly refuse Costa’s advances.

The now 33-year-old striker is clubless after terminating his contract with Brazilian side Atletico Mineiro. So prolific was he during his time at Chelsea that he scored 52 goals in 89 Premier League appearances.

Diego Costa to make a dramatic return at Birmingham City

Sports Brief previously reported that he could make a dramatic comeback to English football with Birmingham City interested in his services.

The championship side is currently involved in an ownership battle. One of the prospective new owners wants to sign Costa as his first player. The current Chinese owners have put the club up for sale.

Former Barcelona and AC Milan player Maxi Lopez is one of the frontrunners to take over at Birmingham. Lopez is understood to be ready to sign Costa as they gun for promotion next season.

Antonio Rudiger labels Kante as the most humble player he has ever met

Antonio Rudiger has also previously spoken about Kante’s humility. Sports Brief reported that Rudiger has no words to describe soon-to-be former teammate N'Golo Kanté as he leaves Chelsea after the last game of the season against relegated Watford.

The Germany international failed to sign a new contract with the Blues as he heads to Spain to join Real Madrid in the summer transfer window.

However, in the latest edition of The Players' Tribune Dear Chelsea, the former AS Roma star opened up on his relationship with N’Golo Kanté.
