Nottingham Forest have sealed their promotion back to the Premier League after 23 years of waiting.

Forest found their way back to the English top-flight following their 1-0 win over Huddersfield during an epic play-off staged at Wembley Stadium on Sunday evening, May 29.

Levi Colwill's own goal just two minutes before the break proved costly for a Huddersfield side who were hoping to secure a ticket back to the Premier League.

Stakes were high ahead of the Championship play-off final, with each side knowing a win will be enough to see them back to the EPL.

However, it was Forest who eventually came out on top, with Man United loanee James Garner having a hand in their vital win on Sunday.

On the other hand, Colwill, who is on loan from Chelsea had an evening to forget as he directed the ball into his own net from Garner's teasing cross.

Huddersfield were somewhat unlucky not to claw back as they were denied two penalties in the second half to lose the play-off by a solitary goal.
