English Premier League Side Liverpool Announce Signing of Impressive Portuguese Attacking Midfielder

English Premier League outfit Liverpool have completed the signing of Fabio Carvalho from Fulham ahead of the coming season.

Reports have it that the Reds did business with Fulham to sign the player in January as the player is expected to move to Anfield once his contract expires at the end of the season.

His deal has just been completed after initially missing out on the player’s signature on January transfer Deadline Day, but reports say Fulham will be compensated.

Sky Sports reports that the Portuguese had undergone a medical with Fulham’s permission as Liverpool are made to cough up £5m plus add-ons.

Liverpool said in a statement via their website:

“The 19-year-old forward will officially complete a switch to the Reds on July 1.
“Carvalho played a key role in Fulham’s promotion back to the Premier League in 2021-22, scoring 10 goals and providing eight assists in 36 games as Marco Silva’s side won the Championship title.
“He had featured for the Cottagers in the top flight on four occasions in the previous season, marking his first Premier League start with a goal away at Southampton in May 2021.”

Liverpool bid Divock Origi an emotional farewell

Meanwhile, Divock Origi was presented with signed pictures and hailed by the Liverpool faithful as he stepped out at Anfield for the final time on Sunday evening.

The Belgium international who is set to leave Liverpool this summer missed his final game as a Liverpool player at Anfield on Sunday due to a muscle injury.

However, the striker came out through the famous Anfield tunnel one last time for a guard of honour after the game against Wolves.

Napoli reject Arsenal’s offer for Osimhen

Sports Brief earlier reported that Napoli will not accept anything less than €110 million from any football club that wants to sign Victor Osimhen who joined the Italian side in the summer of 2020.

With 18 goals in 31 matches in all competitions this season, quite a number of European clubs are jostling for the signature of the Nigerian international.

Italian outlet Calciomercato reports that the English Premier League club Arsenal offered Napoli €90 million for the 23-year-old striker.
