Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Everton fans stormed the pitch at the Goodison Park following a historic night which saw them come from two goals down to defeat Crystal Palace.

Nigerian international Alex Iwobi was in the thick of the action as the Toffees escape relegation, but they had to do it the hard way.

Jean Mateta and Jordan Ayew gave the visitors a 2-0 lead at halftime which meant Everton could be relegated should they lose their final match at Arsenal on Sunday.

But the Toffees put up a sensational performance to come from behind and scored three un-replied goals to win the tie 3-2.

Jubilant Everton fans went wild as thousands stormed the pitch to celebrate with their players and manager Frank Lampard.
