Canada has returned to the men's World Cup almost four decades after their last appearance, becoming the first North American nation to secure a place in Qatar in 2022. Canada's national football team in the World Cup 2022

The team made its first and only appearance at the World Cup in Mexico in 1986, where they finished last in their group after suffering three defeats. However, they will compete in the FIFA World Cup for the first time in 36 years in Qatar in 2022 after being put in Group F alongside Belgium, Croatia, and Morocco.
