Manchester City legend Sergio Aguero has revealed the message he received from Lionel Messi after M the Citizens’ dramatic collapse in the Champions League on Wednesday, May 4.

Karim Benzema then scored from the penalty spot in the 95th minute to completely turn the tie on its head and send Real Madrid fans into delirium.

The stunning 3-1 result was just as unbelievable to Lionel Messi as it was the rest of the world, and the Paris Saint Germain star was quick to express his feelings to Aguero.

Aguero, who has developed a knack of streaming himself watching football matches, was on ESPN star alongside his former international and Man City teammate Carlos Tevez.

During the stream, the former Man City striker revealed the message he received from Messi.

According to Aguero, the message read: “Stop playing around! It can't be!”

Interestingly enough, Messi was also on the receiving end of Real Madrid’s fightback earlier in the season while representing his new club PSG.

In the round of 16, Karim Benzema was the hero for Real Madrid as he scored a hat trick at the Santiago Bernabeu to help his side beat PSG 3-2

Aguero’s initial fears

After his former club failed to fully capitalize on their form in the first leg, Aguero was the first to admit that he had concerns for Manchester City going into the second leg.

'I want to say that I'm really nervous, I don't know why but I'm nervous," Aguero said as quoted by Daily Mail.

Pep Guardiola was overthinking prior to Real Madrid clash

Elsewhere, Sports Brief reported of a viral clip showing Pep Guardiola in dismal state after watching a press conference om Carlo Ancelotti.

Guardiola seemed a bit worried after watching a clip of Carlo Ancelotti’s pre-match presser prior to the clash.

Cameras zoomed in to Guardiola, and the Spaniard looked deep in thought and at some point, he buried his face in his hands, despite his side enjoying a 4-3 lead prior to kick-off.
