Toni Kroos is still in jubilant mode after helping Real Madrid qualify for this year’s UEFA Champions League final at the expense of Manchester City.

The German midfielder was instrumental for the Galacticos as they overturned a first-leg 4-3 defeat against Pep Guardiola’s team to earn a 6-5 aggregate win at the Santiago Bernabeu.

According to a report via the Daily Star, the former Bayern Munich star posted four laughing face emojis on his social media handle after the referee blew the final whistle.

The tweet obviously has angered fans of Manchester City who saw their team blow away a good chance to qualify for a consecutive UEFA Champions League final.

Real Madrid will now aim to win a record-extending 14th Champions League crown when they tackle Liverpool in the final of Europe’s most prestigious club competition.

Kroos breaks down failed transfer to Manchester United

Meanwhile, Toni Kroos has revealed he almost joined Manchester United back in 2014 before agreeing on a move to Real Madrid.

According to Sport Bible, Kroos admitted he had a verbal agreement to join the Red Devils after he was persuaded by then manager, David Moyes.

The 32-year-old has lifted four Champions League trophies and multiple major honours, including a World Cup, during his trophy-laden career since joining Los Blancos from Bayern Munich in 2014.

Real Madrid dump Manchester City out of the Champions League

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Real Madrid put in a performance of a lifetime in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League semifinal to knock out Manchester City.

Manchester City were carrying a slender 4-3 advantage coming into this tie.

The English champions were the better of the two sides but collapsed defensively from the 90th minute. Riyad Mahrez put City ahead in the 73rd minute with a ferocious shot after some brilliant piece of play from Ilkay Gundogan.
