Legendary Ghanaian striker Asamoah Gyan is not ruling out the possibility of playing at the FIFA World Cup in Qatar 2022.
The country's all-time top scorer has not been active since leaving Ghana Premier League side Legon Cities at the end of last season.
In an interview with Asaase Radio, the former Sunderland striker revealed that if he is fit, he wont declined an invite to the national team.
“If I’m fit [to be part of the World Cup squad] why not. My plan is not to play for the national team, I want to be fit. I’m still available to play for the national team,” he said as quoted by GHANASoccernet.com.
“The most important thing is my health. If you call me and I’m not fit, how can I play?.”
Asamoah Gyan is Africa's top scorer at the FIFA World Cup, with six goals in three tournaments, from 2006 to 2014.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Ghana's leading all-time top scorer Asamoah Gyan has not retired yet but aims to play an important role on the Black Stars technical bench.
The 36-year-old has expressed his interest in serving on the Black Stars technical team as strikers' coach.
He made this assertion in an interview with Accra-based television network Citi TV, underlining his readiness by revealing he has drawn plans of acquiring his coaching badges in the coming months.
