Barcelona are reportedly plotting a summer move for Arsenal centre-back Gabriel Magalhaes.
Magalhaes signed for the Gunners from Lille in 2020 and has gone on to become an important squad player for Mikel Arteta.
The Brazilian defender has formed a solid partnership with Ben White at the heart of Arsenal's defense, and the duo is expected to play a key role in Arsenal's top-four push.
Barcelona keen on Gabriel Magalhaes
However, barely two years after he moved to the Emirates, the Brazil international could be on his way out as Barcelona circles in.
According to Metro UK citing sources in Spain, Barca are in the market for a left-footed central defender and have identified Gabriel as the ideal candidate for the role.
It is believed Barca boss Xavi is an admirer of the Arsenal defender and discussions of signing him this summer have already been held.
The Catalans are well aware Arsenal will not be ready to sell the 24-year-old and have lined up an offer that could include players in a bid to sweeten the deal.
Meanwhile, Barcelona's attempt to sign the former Lille star comes just months after they snapped up Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from the north London club.
