Sergio Ramos says he plans to leave Paris Saint-Germain but not before the expiration of his contract with the Ligue 1 giants.

Ramos joined Mauricio Pochettino’s team last summer on a free transfer from Real Madrid but has failed to live up to the fans’ expectations in Paris following a consistent injury crisis.

The Spanish defender has made just 6 Ligue 1 appearances for PSG and did not even feature in their UEFA Champions League campaign in the ongoing season.

According to a report via Daily Mirror, the 36-year-old defender has now revealed he wishes to stay at PSG for three years before moving on.

"I would like to play between four and five more years at the top level and then live another experience. I have two years at PSG, we will try to do three, and then we'll see.
“As long as my physical condition holds up, I think I can keep my mind focused.”

Ramos, who signed a two-year deal when he joined PSG, was absent as the Parisians were embarrassingly knocked out of the Champions League by Real Madrid in the round-of-16.

Ramos plans to play for the best teams

Meanwhile, Sergio Ramos has revealed that he plans to play for the best teams in world football which is why he chose to sign for Paris Saint-Germain.

According to Marca, the 36-year-old revealed football is about winning trophies and it takes the best team to achieve the goal of winning.

Ramos has proven to be an established winner himself, with the Spaniard boasting of the winners’ medal in the World Cup, European Championship, UEFA Champions League, and the Spanish La Liga.

Ramos made the declaration after Real were paired with PSG in the Round of 16 following a controversial draw on Monday, December 13.
