  • The Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) are now planning to hire another coach for the Super Eagles of Nigeria
  • They are equally ready to name new gaffers for the Flying Eagles and Golden Eaglets of Nigeria as soon as possible
  • And in making it happen, the NFF have directed the technical committee to recommend coaches for the Super Eagles

Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) chiefs have given their technical committee the mandate to recommend a new coach for the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

This comes following the disengagement of Austin Eguavoen and his coaching crew after they failed to qualify Nigeria for the 2022 World Cup losing the play-offs against Ghana.

After losing the 2022 World Cup ticket to Ghana, the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) also tendered apology to all Nigerians for Super Eagles' failure.

According to the reports on Complete Sports and Soccernet, the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) had their executive meeting in Abuja on Tuesday night, 5 April, where they discussed many issues affecting the development of soccer in the country.

How many days did the NFF give the technical committee?

The NFF chiefs want the technical committee to recommend coaches for the Super Eagles, Flying Eagles and the Golden Eaglets in the next five days.

Ladan Bosso was the last coach to handle the Flying Eagles of Nigeria, while Fatai Amoo was in charge of the Golden Eaglets.

Who could be named next Super Eagles coach?

There have been speculation that the technical committee of the NFF are considering recommending former coach Sunday Oliseh to make a return.
