Wayne Rooney says Man United should axe Pogba and Ronaldo

Rooney has now said it is about time United consider parting ways with some of their veteran players like Pogba and Ronaldo.

According to the Derby County boss, axing the duo from the team would allow United to progress.

"But I think if you look to the future of the club you would have to go with younger, hungry players to do the best to lift Manchester United over these next two, three years," Rooney told Sky Sports.
"And obviously Cristiano is getting on a bit."
"I think it's probably got to a point now probably it's better for him (Pogba) to move on," he added.

Rooney backs Pochettino for Man United job

When probed who Man United should name as their next boss, Rooney picked Pochettino ahead of Ten Hag, with the Red Devils' legend declaring the Argentine as an ideal candidate for the role.
