The 22-year-old was on target for the first time this season but his side Clermont Foot suffered a 3-2 defeat at home to Osman Bukari's Nantes.

Nantes took the lead through Ludovic Blas' penalty but that was canceled out in the 58th-minute, courtesy of a strike from Saîf-Eddine Khaoui.

The away team were in front again four minutes later after Pedro Chirivella's cool finish.

Clermont Foot fought back to restore parity courtesy of a strike from Ghana's Salis Abdul Samed in the 63rd-minute.

Nine minutes later, Abdul Samed was shown a straight red card following a late tackle on Kalifa Coulibaly.

And Nantes made their numerical advantage count as Randal Kolo Muani scored the winning goal the 67th-minute.

Salis Abdul Samed will miss his side's next league game against French giants Paris Saint-Germain due to suspension.

He has been in fine form this campaign for Clermont Foot in Ligue 1, making 26 appearances.

However, he was left out of their starting eleven by manager Antoine Kombouaré for their visit to the Stade Gabriel Montpied.
