Ghanaian Politician and Business Mogul Ready To Buy English Giants Chelsea

A Ghanaian politician and businessman, Bernard Antwi Boasiako has thrown himself into the fray as one of the people interested in buying Chelsea.

The business magnate revealed his intentions of bring Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Vinicius Jnr together at the London club.

In an interview with Kumasi-based Radio station Wuntumi FM, the chairman of NPP in the Ashanti Region stated his intention of acquiring the club.

“What I want to do now is to buy Chelsea Football Club. I’m a businessman, I do gold mining and [I can afford] £3 billion,” he said.
“I want to join the bid to buy the club. If I buy Chelsea, one of the first players I bring in is the Brazilian Vinicius Junior… What is £3 billion?,” he added.

Chairman Wuntumi as he is affectionately known is one of the richest men in the country and he is a strong member of the ruling party.

Roman Abramovic hands Chelsea to trustees

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that following the ongoing crisis in Ukraine, Russian businessman Roman Abramovich has handed the stewardship of Premier League side Chelsea to the club’s charitable foundation, The Athletic reports.

This comes after the British government was advised to seize all assets belonging to Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich, including Chelsea Football Club.

Labour MP Chris Bryant, in a statement during a House of Commons session, disclosed that he found a leaked document that says the entrepreneur should not be allowed to stay permanently in the UK.

Jose Mourinho says he has a cordial and respectful relationship with Chelsea owner, Roman Abramovich after the Russian revealed he is putting up the Stamford Bridge club for sale.

Mourinho had two spells as Chelsea coach and is considered the most successful manager in the Blues history after winning three Premier League titles with the London club.

According to a report via Football London, the 59-year-old manager back in 2016 was quoted as saying he and Abramovich were never friends while he was in charge at Chelsea.
