Antonio Conte pinpoints Tottenham's biggest problem after shock FA Cup exit
FootballHarry Kane: Tottenham Star Outlines 2 Conditions that Will Make Him Stay at Club Next Season
- Harry Kane almost left Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2021 but a move to Manchester City broke down
- The England international seems to have had a shift in mindset since the arrival of Antonio Conte at the club
- With Tottenham in the fight for a top-four finish, Kane could be convinced to stay at the club under two conditions
Harry Kane is ready to keep playing for Tottenham Hotspur, but on two very tough conditions.
The England star is typically performing at his brilliant best for another season, and his 2 goals against Everton on Monday helped him climb the charts in the Premier League’s all-time leading goalscorers list.
Despite his prowess in front of goal, 28-year old Kane has a cloud hanging over his head – the fact that he has not won silverware yet.
Tottenham’s FA Cup shock exit at the hands of Middlesbrough once again confirmed another trophy-less season for Harry Kane, despite all his efforts in front of goal.
The FA Cup exit also sparked speculation that perhaps Kane was headed for the exit door from the North London club, after a botched move last summer.
But Express.Uk reports that the England striker has already hinted to teammates of his intentions to stay.
The arrival of Antonio Conte at the Tottenham Stadium seems to have reignited Kane’s commitment to the club, and he has told close friends that he is willing to stay if Conte remains the Spurs boss next season.
The Italian took charge of the club at a time when they were in the bottom half of the table, but has managed to bring them up to having a shout for a Champions League spot.
Along with Conte staying as manager, Kane will also be tempted to stay if Tottenham manage to secure Champions League football.
“Conte has helped me”
Recently, Kane spoke very highly of Conte, saying the Italian helped him level up his game.
N'golo Kante sends urgent message to Chelsea teammates amid impending sale of club
Football“The manager is a fantastic coach, I’ve said that now on many occasions,” Kane said. “I really enjoy working with him, so it’s down to us players to take that responsibility.
“A lot of us want to be playing in the Champions League. We haven’t played in it now for a couple of years but it’s where we think the club should be.”
Rashford set to miss out on England call-up
Elsewhere, Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford is experiencing contrasting fortunes to Kane this season.
Rashford has only managed five goals so far this campaign and his torrid form is likely to see him dropped by Gareth Southgate for the upcoming England games in March.
Another challenge for Rashford has been integrating into Ralf Rangnick’s side as he has constantly found himself making appearances off the bench.
