FootballFurious Cristiano Ronaldo Goes Absolutely Mental at Manchester United Teammate Bruno Fernandes
- Cristiano Ronaldo was visibly upset with Bruno Fernandes during Manchester United’s home game with Watford
- The Red Devils missed a number of chances in the Premier League encounter which ended 1-1 at the Old Trafford
- In the 12th minute of the encounter, Ronaldo believed he was in a better position to score, but Fernandes attempted the shot which was blocked by the goalkeeper
Manchester United failed to improve their chances of a top-four finish as they played a goalless draw with Watford on Saturday evening, Daily Star reports.
United will only have themselves to blame as they were wasteful when it came to finishing off their chances, especially in the first half.
On the other hand, Roy Hodgson’s Watford will be extremely happy with an away point, as it takes them one step closer to safety.
Cristiano Ronaldo was particularly frustrated with his Portuguese counterpart Bruno Fernandes who failed to pass on one of the occasions as he would have had an easy tap-in.
The 37-year-old believed he was in a better position to put his side ahead in the 12th minute, but Fernandes attempted the shot himself and the goalkeeper blocked the effort.
Instead of laying the ball on a plate for Ronaldo to tap the ball into an empty net, Fernandes chose to shoot at goal himself.
After Ben Foster made a fine save to deny him and Watford cleared, Ronaldo was seen reacting angrily to his team-mate's decision.
