Luka Lochoshvili has revealed he held the tongue of his opponent, Georg Teigl to save his life after the midfielder had fallen unconscious in an Austrian Bundesliga game between Wolfsberger and Austrian Wien on Sunday, February 27.

The 23-year-old was the hero of the day as he immediately swung into action to prevent Georg Teigl from swallowing his tongue after he was involved in a collision with Nikolas Veratschnig's knee.

According to a report via Daily Star, Luka Lochoshvili revealed after the game he just knew what exactly to do in the situation and that anyone would have been able to help.

Teigl would later regain his consciousness and was able to walk off the field with assistance from the medical staff before being taken to a local hospital.

Meanwhile, it has been confirmed that Austrian Wien midfielder, Georg Teigl suffered a fractured skull, a zygomatic feature, and a fractured jaw after colliding with an opponent in a league game.

According to a report via Then24, Georg Teigl expressed his gratitude to Luka Lochoshvili who had come to his aid when the incident occurred on the pitch.

The midfielder is currently receiving treatment at a Vienna General hospital but no time frame has been given for when he will return to the pitch after the injury.
