Super Falcons of Nigeria have qualified for the 12th edition of the African Women Cup of Nations (AWCON) after beating Ivory Coast 1-0 in Abidjan in their second leg qualifier on Wednesday evening, 23 February.

The Ivorian women went into this game with the target of overcoming their 2-0 first leg defeat in Abuja against the Super Falcons, but they were unable to impress their faithfuls at home.

They started the match impressively trying to cage the Super Falcons, but the Nigerian side were more determined and they refused to be intimidated on the pitch.

Since joining Al Hilal, the former Manchester United striker has been in scintillating form, with the Nigerian now having four goals for his new club.

Al Nassr scored the first goal in this match in the 17th minute through Talisca, who benefited from an assist by Vincent Aboubakar.
