Ex-Black Stars right-back, Dan Quaye has lauded Sulley Muntari's return to the Ghana Premier League after joining Ghanaian giants Hearts of Oak.
The former AC Milan midfielder left Ghana in 2001 after a short stint with Liberty Professionals, but returned to join the Phobians in 2022.
His former Black Stars colleague, Dan Quaye, in an interview with Bryt FM revealed Muntari's Ghana Premier League comeback will be a huge boost for the domestic topflight.
“Sulley's return to the Ghana Premier League excites me because it will draw more supporters to the stadium. I watched him play last Sunday and I realised he still has more to offer,” he told Bryt FM.
“I will entreat the media to hype such players rather than raining insults. Sulley cannot play like his heydays, but at least we should be proud of him. There are a lot of players who want to return to the league but they are reluctant to come because of insults from the media and supporters."
Dan Quaye played for Hearts of Oak between 1998 to 2007, before having a second spell with the club between 2015 to 2017.
