Sulley Muntari, the newest addition to the Ghana Premier League, has opened up on his desire to help young players in the domestic league realize their potential.

Having seen it all in Europe, where he played for big clubs and won the UEFA Champions League with Inter Milan, the 37-year-old is willing to aid up and coming stars reach their career goals after joining Hearts of Oak.

Sulley Muntari, who made his Hearts debut over the weekend against Great Olympics, told the club's media how he intends to offer help as and when they need it.

“It is a good team that is very young, a young technical team as well. There is ambition there and me deciding to join the league also means I want to be able to help the young ones,” he said.
“Guide them in the right path even though the coach is there. I can also help.”

Muntari is expected to travel with Hearts of Oak for their Ghana Premier League game against Real Tamale United on Sunday.

Hearts of Oak are hoping to defend the title they won last year despite a difficult start to the campaign.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that legendary Ghanaian midfielder, Sulley Aliu Muntari, has finally disclosed the reason for choosing Hearts of Oak on his return to the Ghana Premier League.

The 37-year-old signed a one-year deal with the Phobians after almost two years without a club as he seeks to give his career one last dance.

Speaking to the club's media, Muntari revealed Hearts is an appealing club and one of the best in Africa, making his decision to join them an easier one.
