Senegal have booked their place in the semifinal of the ongoing 2021 African Cup of Nations after beating Equatorial Guinea 3-1 on Sunday night, January 30, in which Ismaila Sarr scored.

Having gotten to the final at the last edition of the AFCON in Egypt losing against Algeria, Senegal have been rated as one of the favorite teams to win the title and they have been superb.

Nigerian players went on to win their next two games at the African Cup of Nations before suffering a defeat in the round of 16 against Tunisia.

Egypt put the defeat against Nigeria behind them and they have landed in the semifinal of the AFCON where they will face host nation Cameroon.
