Stephen Appiah and Samuel Osei Kuffuor have been included in a newly constituted Black Stars management committee following the dissolution of the previous body after the AFCON disaster.
The former Black Stars captain and the Bayern Munich legend are joined by four other members with GFA Vice president, Mark Addo, the chairman of the committee.
The newly formed committee is expected to take care of all activities around the Black Stars including their day to day management.
"The Exco of the GFA has appointed Vice President Mark Addo as Chairman of the Black Stars Management Committee. Other Members of the Committee include Kwasi Agyemang – Vice Chairman, Samuel Osei Kuffuor, Kwame Ofosu Bamfo, former Ghana Captain Stephen Appiah, Colonel Kwadwo Damoah (Rtd.) and Alhaji Karim Grusah," wrote the GFA on their official website.
The role of the management committee includes directing the activities of the team, ensuring it is well run and delivering the outcomes, monitoring the activities of the Technical team, the Medical team and the Playing body to ensure they are keeping with the founding principles, objectives and values of the team.
The changes are expected to immediately take effect with the Black Stars scheduled to play Nigeria in March in the FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Ghana FA names Otto Addo as new Black Stars coach
Earlier, Sports Brief reported that the Ghana Football Association has finally settled on Otto Addo as the head coach of the Black Stars with Chris Highton acting as the technical advisor.
The German-trained coach will be assisted by George Boateng and Mas Ud Didi Dramani as Ghana prepares for the World Cup play-offs against Nigeria.
After days of back and forth between the FA and the Sports Ministry, the federation finally announced the new technical team on their official website.
