Rodney Appiah, son of former Ghana captain, Stephen Appiah, says it was an honour to play against a former teammate of his father Sulley Muntari in the Ghana Premier League.
The young Appiah featured for Great Olympics as they stunned Ghana Premier League champions Hearts of Oak, which had Sulley Muntari in their fold.
After the game, Rodney Appiah took to social media to express his excitement as he faced the 37-year-old former Ghana midfielder.
"It’s an honour playing against the legend Sulley Muntari," wrote the teenager.
Rodney Appiah is following the footsteps of his father after deciding to quit school to pursue his football career.
Having joined the Dade Boys last season, the young Appiah is beginning to get play time in Ghana's topflight league.
