Chelsea are on the verge of losing key defenders Cesar Azpilicueta and Andreas Christensen to Barcelona as the Spanish giants are planning a raid on Stamford Bridge.
According to a report via Sports Bible, Barcelona are currently holding talks with Azpilicueta whose current deal runs out at the end of the season and have offered him a deal until 2024.
The 32-year old is allowed to start speaking to other clubs as he tries to sort out his future with talks over a new contract with Chelsea not making headway at the moment.
The Spanish giants are also keen on Danish defender Andreas Christensen whose contract also runs out with the Blues at the end of the current campaign.
Popular football journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed on Twitter the Blaugranes interest in the Chelsea star who was impressive in the Blues Champions League campaign last season.
Christensen has a host of clubs monitoring his situation, with Bayern Munich also keen on securing his services.
Rudiger’s Contract at a Standstill
Chelsea also stand losing defender Antonio Rudiger this summer when his contract expire in June as talks between the German and Chelsea seems to have stalled also.
The Mirror reports Rudiger is asking for a new deal worth £46m which is equivalent to £180,000 per week if spread across a five-year deal.
The Blues are reported to have offered Rudiger a new deal which would see him earn £135,000 per week, but such a sum would not put him near the top of the highest-earning players at Stamford Bridge.
