Al-Nassr who are known for poaching struggling Premier League players submitted a bid worth £7m for a loan offer with an obligation to buy the Gabonese at the end of the season.

The Saudi Club currently boasts of having Cameroon captain Vincent Aboubakar in their ranks and have previously signed Nigeria's captain Ahmed Musa from Leicester City back in 2019.

Aubameyang has not featured for Arsenal since November 2021 and has seen his status as a Gunners favorite dropped in recent weeks following disciplinary issues which had caused the London club to strip him off the captaincy after returning late from a trip to France.

The Gabonese so far has been exiled from Arsenal’s first team since the incident and was allowed to leave early for the AFCON with the Gabonese national team in December.

Unfortunately for Aubameyang, the Gabonese striker was released early by the national team with the Gabon FA claiming he had been suffering from heart complications after testing positive for Covid-19.

According to a report via Goal, Arteta confirmed Aubameyang was currently undergoing precautionary checks.

“He’s in London and now he’s going through some examinations because we haven’t had any clarity from the Gabon national team about the reasons why he came back,” said the Gunners boss.
“Obviously it’s our obligation to make sure that medically the player is safe, is in good condition and that there are not any issues relating to that.

The Daily Mail reports It's thought the Gunners hierarchy are currently considering the proposal as they believe the fee would be small for a player of Aubameyang's profile but it would also remove £250,000-a-week from Arsenal's bloated wage bill.
