Eden Hazard rejects move to struggling Premier League club, awaits offers from top teams

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Belgian winger Eden Hazard appears to have turned down a move to relegation-threatened Newcastle United despite the Magpies over £40m bid being accepted by Real Madrid for the player.

Hazard has struggled for form and has been plagued with injuries since moving from Chelsea to the Spanish capital in 2019 for an initial fee of £88m from the Stamford Bridge club.

This has hampered the 30-year old’s stock at Real Madrid with the likes of Vinicius Jnr preferred in attack alongside Karim Benzema while the Belgian is only good to start from the bench.

Florentino Perez has accepted an offer of £33.4m plus £8.3m in add-ons, from Newcastle with Eddie Howe desperate to strengthen his beleaguered squad in a bid to escape relegation this season.
