The Nedbank Cup sees the Premier Soccer League (PSL) teams put into the draw with eight teams from the National First Division and eight amateur teams. The competition provides opportunities for some big-name clubs to be humbled by smaller teams but also can see small teams get hammered by their more fancied opposition.

Marumo Gallants or Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila as they were then known are the defending champions and will face Santos FC, Goal.Com reported.

The PSL listed the full results of the draw on their Twitter account and has got fans eagerly awaiting the action when it gets underway on February 5.

@KgatukeTseke:

"Eish my boyz Bucs have a very difficult fixture against Amazulu."

@Sgoloza_Esmehlo:

PSL drops the hammer down on Kaizer Chiefs, charges club for not honouring fixtures

New Premier Soccer League prosecutor Zola Majavu has wasted no time in attending to pressing legal matters, charging Kaizer Chiefs for not honouring two fixtures last month, Sports Brief earlier reported.

The Amakhosi failed to pitch up for clashes against Cape Town City and Golden Arrows because of a Covid-19 outbreak at the club which laid 36 players and staff low. As a result, they had requested these and other fixtures to be postponed by the PSL, which the governing body declined.

When the Premier Soccer League prosecutor Zola Majavu took over the job he could not provide a timeline for when the matter would be resolved, but then took action almost immediately. KickOff reported that the league would now charge Chiefs for their actions in the coming days.
