Mohamed Salah who is the captain of the Egyptian national team has slammed his coach Carlos Queiroz after their defeat against the Super Eagles of Nigeria in 2021 AFCON opener.
The Liverpool striker had his wings clipped by the Super Eagles defenders in the encounter against Nigeria as Leicester City star Kelechi Iheanacho scored the only goal of the game.
Salah tried his best to save Egypt from suffering defeat against Nigeria and even had a chance in the 70th minute to restore parity, but his effort was saved by Maduka Okoye.
According to the report on Egypt Independent, Mohamed Salah expressed unhappiness about the attitude of Egypt coach Carlos Queiroz.
Mohamed Salah's statement
''He is stubborn with the Egyptian people, and if he sees people heading right, he will go to the left, and he always deals with the fans in this way.
“Is it reasonable that there is no one in Egypt who knows football, and only Queiroz is the one? Queiroz will always oppose the people of Egypt and there is no result.
''Queiroz decided to exclude Afsha Mohamed Magdy from the team because the fans love the player, and Queiroz always does the opposite to the fans.”
