Moses Simon Tells Nigerians the Stunning Position Super Eagles Will Finish at 2021 AFCON

Moses Simon who is a Nigerian winger has stated emphatically that the Super Eagles have the quality to emerge champions at the 2021 African Cup of Nations which has started in Cameroon.

At the last edition of the Africa's most prestigious tournament, the Super Eagles finished on third position behind Senegal and Algeria who won the trophy.

Prior to the start of the Nations Cup in Cameroon, the Nigerian Football Federation decided to sack Gernot Rohr as manager and replaced him with Eguavoen on interim capacity.

And ahead of the Super Eagles' first game at AFCON, Moses Simon expressed confidence that himself and teammates can become the next African champions according to the report on GOAL.

“Winning is the goal. The last one we were third, now we have to do everything possible to have a gold medal, and we can.
“It’s difficult for every coach that wants to coach Nigeria because you have to do what the fans want, what the people want. You have to win, you have to play good.
“In Nigeria, everyone is a coach, so it's not easy to coach Nigeria.”

Iheanacho and Super Eagles teammate jokingly exchange blows in Cameroon, video goes viral

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Kelechi Iheanacho and Super Eagles teammate Henry Onyekuru have been spotted jokingly exchanging blows in the Super Eagles camp ahead of Nigeria's first game against Egypt at AFCON.

Super Eagles players and coaching crew have settled down in Cameroon which is the venue for the 2021 African Cup of Nations as Nigeria are aiming to soar in the competition.

After their arrival in Cameroon, Super Eagles played an international friendly with Cameroonian side Coton Sport and they won 2-0 thanks to Ahmed Musa and Samuel Chukwueze who scored.

The Super Eagles camp is bubbling in Garoua with Nigerians waiting to see what the players will come out with in their first game against Egypt on Tuesday evening, January 11.
