Cyriel Dessers who is Nigerian forward currently playing for Dutch side Feyenoord is now on the verge of making a return to the Super Eagles as replacement for Odion Ighalo for 2021 AFCON.

The Nigerian Football Federation and Super Eagles coaching crew have been communicating with Saudi Arabian side Al Shabab over the release of Odion Ighalo for the Nations Cup,

However, Al Shabab's chiefs are insisting that there was nothing like playing in the AFCON in the contract Odion Ighalo signed for them when he joined.

And as a result of that, the club have refused to release the former Manchester United striker claiming that they want him to help them this term.

According to the report Sportinglife and what many top Nigerian reporters are saying, the Super Eagles coaching crew have contacted Cyriel Dessers to replace Odion Ighalo.
