Lukaku to return to Chelsea squad

Meanwhile, after showing remorse in a meeting with Chelsea hierarchy, Romelu Lukaku is now in line to return to Blues squad for their semifinal clash against Tottenham on Wednesday, January 5.

According to reports, Romelu Lukaku held a positive meeting with Chelsea leadership on Monday, January 3, and he is now set to be recalled to the squad by manager Thomas Tuchel.

Senior members of Chelsea's hierarchy, including director Marina Granovskaia, were understood to have been involved in internal discussions regarding the controversy.

It was gathered that there is little chance of him leaving the club anytime soon but could be likely punished for the bombshell interview.
