Italian side Inter Milan are set for business this transfer window as reports claim they will start trading as from the Monday, January 3.
Soccernet are reporting that the Serie A champions are looking to land Nigerian international Paul Onuachu.
A report by Calcioline says that the club sees the Super Eagles forward as the perfect alternative to star forward Edin Dzeko.
Dzeko, signed from AS Roma to replace Chelsea-bound Romelu Lukaku in the summer, has been excellent for Inter, with the former Manchester City ace netting three goals in six Champions League games and eight goals in 18 Serie A matches.
Due to his age, Inter CEO Beppe Marotta is already shopping for a replacement and is considering the best options currently in the market.
Onuachu has contributed a staggering 66 goals for Belgian side Genk, scoring 59 goals and providing 7 assists since he joined the club over two years ago.
The 27-year-old is, however, presently recovering from a hamstring injury that ruled him out of Nigeria’s squad for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Cameroon.

Sports Brief earlier reported that Leicester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho has urged fellow AFCON-bound stars to show class at the continental showpiece which starts on January 9.
The Super Eagles star has been included in Nigeria’s squad for the biennial competition and the build up to the tournament is already heating up.
Controversy is brewing across several European clubs as a number of their stars will head to Cameroon, as they will lose key players in the middle of the domestic season.
Many believe the AFCON tournament is not well respected in Europe and now Iheanacho has urged his fellow superstars to show that Africa deserves more.
