The Lions of Teranga caused a stir during their debut at the 2002 World Cup when they beat France, the European Champs at the time. Senegalese players have continued to wow their fans at home and abroad, including Kalidou Koulibaly and Idrissa Gueye, who play in the Premier League.

How many times has Senegal qualified for the world cup?

The lions of Teranga have appeared in the finals of the FIFA World Cup twice, in 2002 and 2018. They also qualified for the 2022 World Cup to be held in Qatar.
