Fight fans react to Fury's first loss

Some boxing fans wrote that they had just witnessed the end of an era.

Reymond Radoc wrote on X that "Fury's loss kind of feels like the end of an era for heavyweights." He explained that it started in 2017 with Anthony Joshua beating Klitschko and now ending with Usyk beating Fury.

He added that he's glad he closely followed the division for a few years at least.

DJ NabS wrote that he doesn't think the rematch should go ahead between Fury and Usyk. He believes it's the end of an era for Fury, and he will end up just like Wilder if that second meeting goes ahead.

The fight swung in Usyk's favour when he landed a crisp right-left combination to Fury's head.

That two-punch combo had the 'Gypsy King' wobbling against the ropes before the referee gave him a standing eight count in the ninth round, per Bleacher Report.

Fortunately for Fury, he was saved by the bell, setting the stage for an epic finish to their fight at the Kingdom Arena.

Usyk did just enough to win the championship bout, with two of the judges scoring the fight in his favour.
